When we look at the cards for the first time, we never fail to experience a strange sensation. We know that they can be used to divine the future, but all we see are designs with different patterns - and that does not speak to us immediately. It’s as if they were either silent or spoke in an unknown language, incomprehensible at first glance.
The objective of this Initiation into French cartomancy is to familiarize the reader with this language of the cards, to make itcomprehensible, so as gradually to become able to interpret it.
