Lenormand - Die achten Wahrsagekarten des Kartenschlägerin

1
Hi
Does anyone knows about the "Die achten Wahrsagekarten des Kartenschlägerin" (The eighth fortune-telling card of the card-beater - approximately)?
It is featured on Gallica's website, and it is claimed to be Mlle Lenormand's "original" idea.

These cards have alchemical-like symbols, that I only identify partially, instead of the pips, and the Court cards seem not to fit specifically in one exclusive suit, except for the King of Cups and the King of Swords but in this version they are designated for The Whip and The Clouds, respectively.
Another interesting point is that the cards The Heart and The Cross doesn't exist in this "edition", instead of them there are The Marriage (as I decided to call it because for me it is clearly a reference for the act of consummation of the gypsy marriage - bloody handshake) and The Cat, respectively.

Accessing the link below you will find the whole deck and some editorial informations:
https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b ... checontact

As you will notice, the cards are placed in different serial numbers and correspondences.

I didn't find anything but what is on Gallica's site. I stepped on it by accident while searching for new decks on Pinterest.
I would be glad if anyone here knows more information about this set of cards.

Best regards,
M.

hi Marcelo, welcome to the forum ...

"Die achten Wahrsagekarten des Kartenschlägerin Mlle Lenormand" possibly has 2 printing errors ....

"Die echten Wahrsagekarten der Kartenschlägerin Mlle Lenormand" looks correct. If it is not a printed error, then it is a somehow stupid joke or the attempt to be funny.

The "Anleitung" speaks correct German language and of "Wahrsagekarten der Kartenschlägerin Mlle Lenormand". I didn't note any "achten" or "echten" in the text.
Also I wouldn't expect, that these cards are really from Mlle Lenormand. It's a German deck and the text claims to be from Mlle Lenormand. There are also other decks, which have claimed to be from her.
I don't know, what the strange signs in the deck shall mean.
"A wicked pack of cards" of the authors Decker, Dummett, Depaulis (1996) speaks of Lenormand decks, which are not from Lenormand (page 139 ff.) There is a footnote 81. "Hoffmann & Kroppenstedt 1972, nos 50 to 63, where the earliest 'Kleinen Lenormandspiele' are dated from from the middle of the XIX century."
I have the book, I looked for the deck between nos 50-63 and I didn't find the deck. But I think, that it belongs to the category "Kleine Lenormandspiele" with 36 cards.

The last "Card 36" has an "Ensslin&Laiblin, Reutlingen". Reutlingen is a German city.
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theodor_Enslin
Theodor Enslin once founded the publishing Verlag.
Theodor Ensslin died 1851 and he is called a "Freimaurer". It's possible, that the strange symbols have a background in the Freimaurerei.
I count, that 25 of the 36 cards have these strange signs, possibly it is a sort of alphabet.

11 cards show persons. This one has a message: "So geh(en) die Wege des Schiksals"
