Probably it's useful to our readers, if the place of Franco's productions [ http://naibi.net ] and of MikeH's translations [ http://pratesitranslations.blogspot.com ] are occasionally mentioned.Franco Pratesi wrote, MikeH translated:Well, that's rather good to all of us, that Franco Patesi came back to some activity with the theme playing cards and that we have Michael, who is an useful translator for his texts. Big thanks. My study of the history of card games has proceeded intermittently, with long pauses; at least twice, I thought I had closed research in the sector forever, and then with some surprise I found myself starting again. Lately, this "phenomenon" has occurred to me again, probably thanks to my "discovery" of the progress in the digitization of catalogs. I was used to visiting the ancient collections of numerous libraries and archives in person; now I can have them near me via e-mail.

The old tarot collectors forum had to be closed when the person operating the server closed his business.
I have now created a new forum on my own server so it will not be closed down. Unfortunately, it was not possible to import the data from the old forum, so this new one is starting from scratch.
If you want to be a subscriber and post messages go to
https://rare-tarot.com/tarotcollectors
If you have any problem with the registration, just email me at adam@alchemywebsite.com with the username you wish and I will register you.

....In September 2007, I set up the Tarot Collectors Forum.
This has now had to close as the server on which this was hosted is closing down. The bulletin board software is written in an outdated programming language and cannot be moved to another server without massive restructuring and rewriting.
I did not want to lose all the interesting research and discussion that took place on the forum, so I have now transformed it into a website and placed it on my alchemy website. No new postings can be entered, of course, but the material can be read, and most of the images are available.
In its fifteen years of life, the forum had
2,456,525 visitors
8,627,353 visits
34,664,061 Page views
25,130 posts
You can see the archive on
