Fool used in Minchiate as Joker in Romme / Canasta

There is some old debate, that the Joker was invented in America, begin of 19th century.
Studying the verzicole-rules in Minchiate, then it's rather obvious, that the Fool is used as a replacement card, similar as the Joker is used in games like Canasta or Romme, using the Joker to build combination of various "honored cards" and getting points for this.
